RESEARCH / HUMAN–AI INTERACTION

AI does more than assist us.

It changes how we think, relate, and act.

My research examines how everyday interactions with AI redistribute power and agency, shape communication between people, and change how we understand ourselves and others. I approach Human–AI Interaction as a social and situated practice, not simply a question of usability.

Questions I Care About

01 / Power & Agency in HAII

  • Can AI increase our sense of agency while quietly shaping how we think and act?

  • What psychological and social risks arise when AI consistently makes us feel powerful?

02 / AI-Mediated Communication

  • When AI mediates what we see, know, and consider, how much of our judgment is still our own?

  • How does private influence from AI spill over into public discourse?

03 / Human-Centered AI

  • Should AI always optimize for what the user wants—or sometimes for what helps us live better with others?

  • How can we design AI not just for efficiency, but to create productive friction that helps people pause, reflect, and reconsider?
